Celtic Tiger overpriced and uncomfortable

MY husband and I went to see the long-awaited Celtic Tiger show in the RDS on June 3.

It was a rip-off.

As a dance fanatic, I awaited the show with great anticipation — but Michael Flatley, hang up your shoes! The promoters should have sat in the audience (chair, €85).

Most of those on the chairs could not see the stage comfortably, not to mention sitting in the cold in the middle of a field on a Saturday night.

If I wanted to watch a screen, I would have stayed at home. For such a show, tiered seating should have been provided. Michael, if you respect your fans, consider a repeat show at a decent venue, indoors if possible, or a refund.

By the way, a visit to Riverdance at Killarney NEC was a great experience — lower costs, professionally run and comfortable surroundings.Josephine Coughlan
