US assurances are not good enough

ASSURANCES from the United States that there are no renditions taking place through Irish airspace are simply not good enough.

The world is only too aware of US ambivalence towards human rights. Examples of this are so numerous they are not even worth mentioning.

The Government’s pussyfooting on the issue is to be deplored.
