Silent rape victims will not come forward now

LIMERICK Rape Crisis Centre statistics demonstrate that a mere 11% of survivors of all forms of sexual violence ever report these crimes to the gardaí.

The sight of ‘Mr A’, a self-confessed rapist, walking free (Irish Examiner, May 30) hardly provides an incentive for the silent majority to come forward.

I feel disgusted.
