Town plebiscite will give Ó Cuiv his answer

IT’S now apparent that the people of Dingle/Daingean Uí Chúis do not want their town to be known as An Daingean.

Town plebiscite will give Ó Cuiv his answer

I wonder when this fact is going to dawn on Gaeltacht Minister Eamon Ó Cúiv. Will he finally bow to democracy when a massive majority of local inhabitants tell him this in an upcoming plebiscite, or will he hide behind so-called advice from the Attorney General.

After all, who introduced this legislation? Come on, minister, let the people of Dingle/Daingean Uí Chúis have their name back. It never went away, you know.
