Bishop also showed honesty and integrity

AS an Irish Catholic ex-pat living in Hong Kong I have tried to keep abreast of events related to the Irish Church.

Bishop also showed honesty and integrity

The recent death of Peter McCloskey is tragic for all concerned, but in this particular case I would like to underline the words of Bishop Donal Murray of Limerick who issued a statement on April 23 saying Peter was a “man of extraordinary honesty, integrity and courage”.

I suggest that the media might like to apply the same phrase to describe Bishop Murray in his dealings with Peter and his family, and with all cases of injustice or abuse which have been brought to his attention since he became shepherd of the Catholic people of Limerick.
