IRFU’s bad move

I WISH to express my disgust at the IRFU’s decision to move next Saturday’s AIL Division 3 final from Lansdowne Road to Anglesea Road.

This is an insult to those two fine teams, Clonakilty and Suttonians, who have played some marvellous rugby this season.

Surely the IRFU’s first responsibility should be to their own member clubs and players. To switch venues because the FAI hired the ground for a friendly game 11 days later is a disgrace.

The IRFU has it badly wrong as rugby in Co Cork and north Dublin needs its support if the game is to continue its development in these areas.
