Why Jesus would have been baffled by Mass row

OH no! Here we go again.

Yet another church controversy and yet more outpourings from the ‘what Jesus would have said’ brigade.

Well, as one of his co-religionists, I am fairly confident Jesus would never have heard of transubstantiation, so he would not have been aware of the difference between Protestants and Catholics which, incidentally, he wouldn’t have heard of either. He would never have heard of a Mass, and so would not have been at all worried about who did or did not take part in one.

After all, wasn’t he Jewish?
