At the start and end of life, we no longer know what’s right or wrong

HARDLY a week goes by but there are new stories which illustrate the fragility of human life at the extremes of conception and death.

The tragic death of Martin Barry, the young Corkman and multiple sclerosis (MS) sufferer who took his own life in Switzerland last month is a case in point.

So, too, is the report of the Commission on Assisted Human Reproduction, published last week.
