Let’s start by nailing the myth that negative campaigning doesn’t work. The Tories called Tony Blair a liar, and it got them nowhere. Therefore we should expect no negative campaigning when we get around to our own general election. All agreed on that, are we? Well, we shouldn’t be. Because negative campaigning is the first certainty of the next election and defines your first key task.
