Cannabis report: Chronically ill Cork woman 'exiled' to Spain so she can get her medication

Alicia Maher, a PhD candidate at the University of Limerick, now lives in Spain with her husband Gerry as, back home in Ireland, Alicia cannot afford the legal cannabis medicines that help ease her chronic illnesses.
Now that the heatwaves in Spain have passed, the planeloads of Irish people who have dodged flight disruptions are basking in the glory of sun, sea, and sand.
They may well even be envious of one Cork woman who moved there in 2019 and has remained there since.
