All I want for Christmas... Here's what kids in Cork have on their Santa lists

Emma Bennett, 7 

I’m getting Barbie dolls. I’m obsessed. Our whole front room is filled up with them. 

My mom says 'I don’t think there’ll be enough room for the tree'. 

We put it in the corner of our room, but my mom got me a box to put all my accessories in and a box to put their cars in.

I want to get the Barbie house with all the light-up switches and stuff. I want to have a big family to live in there.

My brother is about to turn 20 and he’s very annoying. All my sister wants to do is hang out with her friends on Snapchat and do make-up. She’s 11. So I always have to play by myself.

Sometimes we get the chipper for Christmas dinner or else my nanny makes it. She usually makes mashed potatoes for everyone but I’m very picky, so I always end up having pasta.

I’ve two elves. They’re brothers. Rio is the oldest and Freddy is the youngest. 

Yesterday, they put yarn all over our Christmas tree. Freddie loves hanging down from stuff. They love each other.

I'm really excited for Christmas.

I'm gonna open up my presents and I’m going to ask my sister can we play hide and seek and go outside. I built a snowman last year.

I’ve never tried turkey. One time when we were eating dinner, I ordered fries and chicken nuggets and when I tried the fries they were good, but the chicken nuggets were delicious, so I kept doing bites until I stopped because I got full, so I went to the living room to hug my mom.

I’m getting a Pokémon camera from Santa.

I have an elf on the shelf. 

Last night he cut toast and put his hands through it, and he wrote “I’m very toast-y" and put a smiley face.

I’m asking for a gaming headset. I play games on my Nintendo Switch. I like Rocket League, but I have other favourite ones. I play Mario Kart.

We always get up at 8 o’clock. I’m just gonna play with my new toys.

We met Santa and he said leave out chicken nuggets and mince pies and carrots and cookies for the reindeer.

I’m getting a robot spider. It's like a spider, but a robot. You can control it. I’m going to plan to scare my mom. She’s scared of spiders.

That’s why I came out of Brazil. My mom came out of Brazil to Ireland because of the spiders and the snakes. There’s some spiders here but no snakes.

I’m gonna wake up and say, “the presents, I wanna open them now”. I don’t know if we’re gonna buy good food and treats.

I have an elf. Today he opened all the paper from the toilet and put it everywhere. He doesn’t have a name.

For Christmas I’m getting Kirby. It's a game with Super Mario. I have a Nintendo and it's red and blue and I have nine games. I forget their names.

I think I’m gonna get out of bed at 1 o’clock. I think when I get out of bed, I'll just scream and I'll just open my presents. 

I’ve three elves. One for my big sister, one for me, and one for my baby sister. My big sister is 14 and my baby sister is two years old. 

My big sister wants nails. She’s in the other school next to this. My baby sister wants Super Mario to share with me.

I’m gonna get a kid's sewing machine and a hairdressing set. I always do my doll's hair. I don’t have any brothers or sisters. We’re going to have turkey and mashed potatoes to eat. I love gravy.

I have a naughty elf. His name is Rudy. This morning we woke up and he built a snowman for us but it turned to water. He moves around every night.

I’m getting a PC for Christmas. I can’t wait to play games on it. I’m getting up at 5 o’clock to open my presents. We have two elves, Cobby and Bobby. 

They’re very naughty. We have turkey and mince pies for Christmas dinner. I love mince pies.

I’m getting a drone. 

I’m going to tie my elf to it and fly it. I’m getting one that you can put a phone to it and it floats. If the elf falls off he will be in the camera. 

Once I tied my elf to a walking stick and put it up to a security camera. It was funny.

I'm getting toys, maybe a surprise. I’m getting up early, maybe 6am.

I’ve five sisters and one brother and two dogs. We got dog toys for them.

I’m going to put on Christmas songs, I like 'Jingle bells.'

I saw Santa at Wilton. I told him I wanted toys and he said I’m on the good list.

I’m getting a new phone and random surprises. I’m getting a Samsung. I have a phone already; I use it to call my friends. 

After dinner, for the other half of the day, we’re going to spend time at our mom's house. 

The first Christmas dinner is going to be on Christmas eve and the next one at our mom's on Christmas day. I’ll have two Christmases.

I have two elves. The girl is called Peppermint, and the boy is Jingle. They are cheeky elves. 

One time, when I woke up, me and my brother's beds were covered in shaving cream.

I’m getting a PS5. I’m going to get a race car game. I love racing.

I’m having turkey, ham, chips and veg for dinner.

I’m not going to the beach on Christmas day. Sometimes I go there.

I have a naughty elf. His name is Sprinkles. He tried making toast, but he burned it. He put toilet paper all over the front room too.

I’m getting a stickbox. I saw it in an ad on Sky and it looked so cool that I wanted one. I’m gonna get a laptop and a supergraph. You can see lines on it and trace them.

I think we’re going to have Brussels sprouts for Christmas dinner. I don’t like them, but my mom makes me have them sometimes. Yesterday I had them. I only ate one. My mom actually burned broccoli and when I ate it, it was so nice.

We might have a big turkey. One time my sister wanted to watch Home Alone but I changed it on the TV.
