'No standalone solution' to wrong-way driving on motorways, Dáil committee to be told

The issue has come under renewed scrutiny following two incidents less than a week apart

There is “no single standalone solution” to the problem of wrong-way driving on Ireland’s motorways, an Oireachtas committee will hear on Wednesday.

The Oireachtas Transport Committee will hear from Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) that vehicles being driven at speed against the flow of traffic on motorways represent a “low-frequency but high-severity risk”.
