The construction of a bike shed at the National Maternity Hospital should not cost €100,000, the Taoiseach has said, as Sinn Féin calls for the controversial tender to be scrapped.

At Leaders’ Questions on Tuesday, Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald criticised the proposal to spend €100,000 on the bike shelter, comparing the previous €335,000 spent on a similar project in Leinster House.
