Outgoing Green Party leader Eamon Ryan, Taoiseach Simon Harris and Tanaiste Micheal Martin arrive to speak to the media.

The government will not be distracted by the resignation of Green Party leader Eamon Ryan, the Taoiseach and Tánaiste have said.

Mr Ryan's resignation as leader on Tuesday will mean a three week contest to replace him internally, but Simon Harris said on Wednesday that this would not impact the ongoing work of the government.
