Social Democrats TD Jennifer Whitmore is recovering in hospital after a "sudden medical emergency".

Ms Whitmore's husband Tony Duddy posted a message on the Wicklow TD's Facebook page saying the last few days have been "surreal" and Ms Whitmore had required treatment in the ICU.
