President Michael D Higgins returns to Áras after stint in hospital 

Mr Higgins has a pre-scheduled meeting with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar on Friday afternoon.

He returned to his official residence at Áras an Uachtaráin following his release from St James’s Hospital in Dublin.
