Former Agriculture Minister Michael Creed is being tipped as Fine Gael’s top candidate to replace long-standing MEP Deirdre Clune.

Mr Creed, who recently announced he would not be contesting the next general election, is now the favourite to be selected to run for Europe in next year’s elections.
