The Irish Government should summon the Israeli ambassador to relay its “deep concern” over the ongoing escalation of hostilities in the Gaza strip, Cork MEP Billy Kelleher has said.

Mr Kelleher said that the Israeli response in Gaza has been “completely unacceptable” and the ambassador needs to be made aware of Ireland’s concerns.
