Leo Varadkar sent Mary Lou McDonald flowers after hysterectomy

The Taoiseach sent Mary Lou McDonald flowers after she underwent a hysterectomy, the Sinn Féin leader has revealed.

Mary Lou McDonald has thanked her political rivals across all parties for the kindness shown in the wake of what she described as "serious" surgery.
