Tánaiste Michéal Martin is confident Fianna Fáil can double its number of MEPs after next year's European elections. However, Mr Martin has refused to publicly back Barry Cowen who is being linked with moves to Europe.
At the close of the Fianna Fáil think-in in Horse and Jockey, Co. Tipperary, Mr Martin also doubled down on his criticisms of Sinn Féin who he again accused of "triumphalising" atrocity.
