Northern Ireland legacy Bill ‘personally extremely challenging’, says minister

A Northern Ireland Office minister has revealed he has personally found controversial legislation to deal with the legacy of Northern Ireland’s Troubles “extremely challenging”.

The frank admission by Jonathan Caine in Parliament of his own reservations came as he outlined a series of proposed Government changes to the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Bill aimed at addressing the wave of concerns raised.
