Police in Northern Ireland have appealed for the public's help in their investigation into the suspected murder of a Limerick mother.

The PSNI has shared images of a vehicle and a boat, which they believe could be vital to their probe.

Detectives from the PSNI believe Carrie Mullane (Noonan), 39, came to harm shortly after her arrival in Northern Ireland.

The mother of four has been missing since her arrival in Enniskillen from Limerick on October 10. The police have been searching for Ms Mullane ever since. To date, they have not established her whereabouts, nor her welfare.

Detectives believe establishing the movements of a campervan and boat they provided pictures of will lead to "crucial clues".

Detective Superintendent Richard Thornton, from PSNI Serious Crime Branch, said: “Carrie is a much loved mother, sister and friend and is greatly missed by everyone who knows and loves her."

The removal of a vessel from Lough Erne in Fermanagh is being linked to the ongoing investigation, which has seen a 35 year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder.

Officers were granted additional time to question him earlier this week.

Detectives and police officers were on site at Tullyinishmore Jetty on Friday morning, as the sunken vessel was recovered from the Lough Erne.

According to the Impartial Reporter newspaper, a barge carrying an excavator was transported to the jetty by a private vessel shortly before 9am, with assistance from a PSNI police boat and a rigid inflatable boat (RIB). The vessel was successfully lifted from the water at approximately 11.15am.

A marine notice was issued by Waterways Ireland on November 4.

The notice said the Tullyinishmore Jetty, which is located between Enniskillen and Carrybridge, would be closed until this Friday, with prohibited access by both land and water.
