A young man has died following a scrambler bike crash in Shannon, Co Clare.

The single-vehicle incident happened at around 11.30pm on Saturday, March 21, on Bóthar Na Luachra.

The man, aged in his 20s, had been taken to University Hospital Limerick to treat his serious injuries, but he died on Tuesday.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage, including dashcam, and were in the area at the time are asked to make their footage available to investigating gardaí.
