A cat missing for around two weeks has been rescued after becoming trapped inside a wall in a Cork city home.
Earlier this week, members of Cork City Fire Brigade responded to a call after the cat’s owners heard faint cries coming from inside a wall in their home at around 4am.
The cat had been missing for two weeks before the discovery.

Urban Search and Rescue personnel arrived to investigate the source of the cries and, with the owners’ consent, carefully created a small opening in the wall.
Using a thermal imaging camera (TIC), firefighters successfully located and rescued the cat.
"We’re delighted to report she was removed safely and reunited with her very relieved and happy owners," a spokesperson for Cork City Fire Brigade said.Â
