Woman, 30s, killed in three-car Limerick crash as driver of one vehicle flees scene

A woman in her 30s has died in a three-car collision in Co Limerick.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the crash, which happened on the N24 near Grange West, Boher, at approximately 11.10pm on Friday night.
The driver and sole occupant of one of the cars involved, a woman in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body has since been conveyed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick (UHL) where an autopsy will take place in due course. The local coroner has been notified.
The sole occupant of the second car involved, a man aged in his 40s, was brought to UHL for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigating gardaí say they are seeking to identify the driver of the third car, who fled the scene, leaving the vehicle they were driving behind.

Local diversions have been put in place.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses. Road users with camera footage who were travelling on the N24 near Grange West in Boher between 10.45pm and 11.30pm on Friday night have been asked to make this footage available.
