Investigation launched following fire damage to Cork City house

An investigation has been launched after a house in Cork City was damaged by fire in the early hours of Monday morning.
Three units from Cork City Fire Brigade were called to the scene of the incident in Glanmire, which happened shortly after 4am.
The small fire was discovered at the door of the house, which had damaged the canopy and a vehicle.
It is understood that the fire was caused by an external source.
A spokesperson for the gardaí said no injuries had been reported and that the fire was "extinguished prior to arrival of fire services personnel."
"Inquiries into the incident are ongoing," the spokesperson added.
