Met Éireann warns of strong winds and difficult travel on Sunday as unsettled Atlantic conditions dominate the week ahead

A status yellow wind warning is now in effect for Cork and 10 other counties, with Met Éireann warning of strong and gusty winds on Sunday afternoon and evening.

The alert, which also covers Clare, Kerry, Waterford, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Wexford and Wicklow, began at 4pm on Sunday and runs until midnight.
