Boy, 16, killed after tractor collision in Clare

The collision happened on the R458 at Bunnahow at 2pm on Saturday.

A 16-year-old boy has died after the tractor he was driving crashed in county Clare.

The collision happened on the R458 at Bunnahow at 2pm on Saturday.

The teenager, who was the only occupant of the tractor, was pronounced dead at the scene by gardaí.

The road remains closed to facilitate an examination by garda forensics. Local diversions are currently in place. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. 

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R458 between Gort and Crusheen around the time of the collision are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
