Dead swans and duck removed from Cork’s Lough amid renewed flu concerns

Lab tests will take at least 10 days as biosecurity measures and a fishing ban remain in place at the Lough

Two dead swans and a dead duck were removed from the Lough in Cork City over the weekend.

Arrangements have now been made for the birds’ remains to be taken to a laboratory for testing to confirm whether avian flu is present.
