Two punters in Cork and Dublin have won €1m each following Saturday night's Lotto draw.

The two players became overnight millionaires after winning the Lotto Plus 1 draw. The winning numbers were 5, 15, 16, 18, 25, 31, and the bonus was 22.

Lotto players in Cork and Dublin are being urged to check their tickets. The winners are advised to sign the back of them and keep them safe.

"It has been a big weekend for Lotto players nationwide with two players becoming overnight millionaires following Saturday’s Lotto Plus 1 draw," a spokesperson said.

"Two players in Cork and Dublin won the top prize of €1m each in the weekend draw with both now becoming the two newest National Lottery millionaires. Today we are appealing to Lotto players in both counties to check their tickets very carefully as two people now have tickets worth a life-changing €1m each."

The winners are being asked to make contact with the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [e-mail] and arrangements will be made for them to collect their top prize amounts in Lottery HQ.

There was no winner of the main Lotto jackpot, meaning Wednesday's draw will be worth €3.5m.
