Woman, 70s, dies following two car collision in Limerick

A woman has died following a collision involving two cars in Limerick on Saturday morning.
The incident happened at around 11.50am on the N21 at Templeglantine West.
The woman in her 70s, who was the driver of one of the cars, was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where she was later pronounced dead.
A second woman, also in her 70s, who was a passenger of the second vehicle, was taken to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Gardaí are set to carry out a technical examination of the scene.
The road is currently open.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area between 11.00am and oon on Saturday, October 18 2025 to contact them.
Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) from that section of road during the relevant period are also asked to make it available to investigating officers.
