Investigation underway after 'device' thrown at Limerick home

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a "device" was thrown at a house in Limerick city.

The incident occurred at a house in Ballinacurra Weston in Limerick on Wednesday, October 15 at approximately 10.30pm.

It is understood that the device, which was thrown at a house amid an ongoing feud in the area, failed to explode. 

A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Examiner that "no injuries have been reported at this time".

The Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) assisted at the scene.

"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesperson.
