Motorcyclist dies in single-vehicle crash in Co Limerick

The road remains closed, with local diversions in place and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A motorcyclist has died following a single-vehicle crash in Co Limerick.
The collision occurred in Callahow, Dromcollogher, on the R519 on Sunday at approximately 7pm.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A garda spokesperson said: “His body has been transferred to the morgue in University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
“The scene is preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.”
The road remains closed, with local diversions in place and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
They have also asked any road users with camera or dash-cam footage who were travelling in the area between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on Sunday, October 12th, 2025, to make it available to investigators.
