Woman arrested after man dies following assault in Tipperary

Gardaí have launched an investigation into the assault in Carrick-On-Suir on Saturday evening.

The man was found unresponsive in a home and was pronounced dead.

A woman in her 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The body of the man remains at the scene, which is preserved for forensic teams to investigate.

The state coroner has been notified and the Office of the State Pathologist have been requested to assist in the investigation.

A post-mortem examination will be scheduled.
