Man dies following workplace incident in Tipperary

A man has died following a workplace incident in Co Tipperary on Monday.

The man, aged in his early 60s, was pronounced dead on the site of the incident, which occurred in the Milltown area of Fethard.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to the incident shortly before 5pm.

His body was transported to Waterford University Hospital, where an autopsy will take place in due course.

Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) have launched separate investigations into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

A file will be prepared for the Coroner.
