Woman, 70s, dies from injuries following Kerry crash

A spokesperson said: "Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R557 in the area of Ballyhorgan West between 1.00pm and 2.00pm on Thursday, September 18 are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí."

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a woman died from her injuries following a crash in Kerry.

The collision occurred on the R557 at Ballyhorgan West in Lixnaw on Thursday, September 18.

The driver of the only car involved in the incident (a woman aged in her 70s) was conveyed to University Hospital Kerry and has since died.

No other injuries were reported.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

A spokesperson said: "Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R557 in the area of Ballyhorgan West between 1pm and 2pm on Thursday, September 18 are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

"Anyone with any information should contact Listowel Garda Station on 068 50820, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

"Investigations are ongoing."
