The roll-out of free sanitary products in public spaces in Co Cork is to be completed by the end of this month and includes a diverse range of sites - even the country’s only cable car.

Local authority offices, public swimming pools and some museums and visitor centres are included in the project which is being spearheaded by Cork County Council. The local authority has received €15,000 in grant aid from the Department of Health’s ‘Period Dignity Initiative’ for the scheme.
