Met Éireann issues status yellow rain warning for Cork and four other counties

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for Cork, Clare, Kerry, Limerick, and Galway, with "heavy spells of blustery rain" expected this week.
The warning will be in effect from 6pm on Tuesday until 3am on Wednesday, with the impacts set to include difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility, and localised flooding.
A status yellow rain warning for Donegal, Leitrim, and Sligo is currently in place until 5pm on Monday.
Monday night will be largely dry with clear spells developing, and just isolated showers mainly in the west.
Tuesday will see a dry and bright start for most with "isolated showers".
Outbreaks of rain will spread northeastwards through the afternoon and evening, turning heavy at times, particularly in the southwest. Temperatures will reach highs of 17C.

The rain will gradually clear northeastwards with isolated showers following from the west.
It will remain unsettled with spells of rain and showers for the rest of the week, according to Met Éireann.
Wednesday will be dry and blustery with isolated showers and sunny spells.
Met Éireann says "some more frequent showers may clip the south coast for a time in the morning" with temperatures reaching highs of 19C.
It will be largely dry on Wednesday night, while cloud will build in the south overnight with outbreaks of rain moving in.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, "outbreaks of rain in the south are likely to persist for much of the day with drier and brighter conditions in the north".
