The skull found in a plastic bag on the Beara Peninsula in West Cork will be sent to the North of Ireland for testing to establish its age and attempt to identify it.

The body part was found during clearing work on land behind a house at Faunkill, near Eyeries, on April 18. It was wrapped in a SuperValu plastic bag.
