Fire breaks out at derelict Good Shepherd Convent site in Cork City

Emergency services responded to the late-night blaze at a long-abandoned site with a troubled redevelopment history

The former Good Shepherd Convent site on the north side of Cork City caught fire late on Wednesday.

Shortly before midnight, gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the blaze at a derelict building on Convent Avenue in Sunday's Well.
