Watch: Chainsaw sculptor breathes new life into dead trees in Ballincollig park

Chainsaw artist Will Fogarty is transforming two dead elm trees in one of Cork’s biggest public parks into wonderful wooden works of art, inspired by the river Lee and native Irish wildlife.

Will, known as Fear na Coillte, from Hospital, in Limerick, has been commissioned by Cork City Council to work on the project in the Regional Park in Ballincollig, where he has carved dynamic figures of owls, otters, salmon, heron and other creatures into the trunks of the trees.
