Auctioneer seeks €25k for parking space near University College Cork

Auctioneer Sherry Fitzgerald is seeking €25,000 for a single parking space near University College Cork.

The space is within the walls of Suncroft in Victoria Cross on the western side of the city, an area which has seen a major influx in student accommodation over the past decade. 

It is only big enough to fit a car or medium sized van.

Sherry Fitzgerald has described the space as being in "a most convenient location opposite Hennessy's Centra" and "on the doorstep of UCC and all major hospitals and bus services to the city centre".

Sherry Fitzgerald said its offices have received several calls about the parking space, with some offering in the 'five-figure range'.

A sale is expected to be finalised in the coming weeks.

Daft.ie, which also has the space on its site, has only two other parking spaces available to buy that even come close to the price of the Victoria Cross vacancy.

In Shannon Cove, Co Leitrim, there is a space priced at €18,000.

On Cork Street, Dublin 8, there is a vacancy going for €25,000.
