Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car in Limerick

Two people have been hospitalised after a pedestrian was hit by a car in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
GardaĂ and emergency services were alerted to the scene on the N24 at Milltown, Limerick, just after midnight.
There, they discovered that a man had been hit by a car and suffered serious injuries.
He was taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
The woman who was driving the car was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
The N24 is currently closed in both directions to facilitate a technical examination by forensic investigators.
GardaĂ are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
A spokesperson said: "Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 11.30pm and 12.30am are asked to make this footage available to investigating GardaĂ.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Roxboro Road Garda Station on 061 214 340, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
