A man has been arrested following the death of a woman in her 80s on Tuesday less than 48 hours after she was involved in an incident at her home in Carrigaline, Co Cork.  

A house in the town has been sealed off for a full technical examination by Garda forensic experts as part of the probe. It was launched today following the death of the pensioner at Cork University Hospital (CUH).
