Dozens of children have escaped injury after their school bus was involved in a minor collision west of Cork City.

The incident happened in the Carriganarra area near Ballincollig shortly before 2pm when a private bus carrying about 40 children back to Gaelscoil Uí Riordáin in the town was involved in a collision with a car.
