Thirty two Ireland-based academics feature on list of elite global researchers 

Of the Irish contingent, 12 principal investigators at APC Microbiome Ireland, a world-leading Research Ireland centre with its headquarters in Cork, are listed on the rankings

Twelve principal investigators at APC Microbiome Ireland in Cork are included in the rankings.

Thirty two Ireland-based academics, 11 of whom work out of University College Cork (UCC), have been included on this year's Highly Cited Researchers list.

The aim of the list is “to identify individual researchers in the sciences and social scientists, who have demonstrated significant and broad influence in their field(s) of research”.
