Man, 20s, dies following collision in North Cork 

The incident happened at Ceciltown at around 5.10pm. 

A man in his 20s has been killed following a two-car collision in North Cork on Friday evening.

The incident happened at Ceciltown at around 5.10pm. 

The driver of one of the cars, a man in his 20s was fatally injured. 

Another man in his 20s, who was the driver of the second car, was rushed to Cork University Hospital to be treated for injuries that are understood to be serious. 

The local coroner has been notified and arrangements for an autopsy will now be made. 

The road will remain closed overnight for gardaí to carry out a technical examination of the scene on Saturday. 

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
