A woman fatally struck by a car that mounted a footpath in Charleville on Saturday afternoon has been described as a “great community person” by a local councillor.

Local Charleville Councillor and businessman Ian Doyle said the amount of sadness and shock around the North Cork town was “palpable” following the tragic news.
