It is understood the driver had made a stop at Parnell Street in Limerick when he was punched

A bus driver was injured after being assaulted in Limerick city over the weekend.

The Bus Éireann driver was assaulted at a bus stop on Parnell Street, while on the 304A service, on Saturday at approximately 2pm.
