Teen injured following shooting in Limerick

A teenager has been hospitalised following a shooting in Limerick.
The incident occurred at approximately 8pm on Sunday when gardaí said a firearm was discharged on Hyde Avenue in Ballinacurra Weston.
Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances in relation to the incident.
One man, aged in his late teens, was injured. A Garda spokesperson said the teen was taken to University Hospital Limerick where his condition remains stable.
Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
Any person who was in the vicinity of Hyde Road, Ballinacurra area on Sunday evening between 7.30pm and 8.30pm is asked to contact investigating gardaí.
Any road users who were travelling on the Hyde Road and surrounding areas during this time and who noticed any unusual activity is asked to come forward.
Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in this area are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
